She wants to work for her home company, Vishesh Films. But looks like he will not direct again as he has quit directing and completely focuses on production now, along with his brother Mukesh Bhatt, a prominent film producer. One needs to wait and watch if daddy dearest Mahesh Bhatt makes an exception for his pretty daughter Alia and directs her in a film!
Karan Johar (KJo) thought that Alia would be keen to continue her film journey with her dad now on wards to which Mahesh replied that he might have directed elder daughter Pooja in the past and has also delivered successful films like Daddy, Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin and Sadak, mainly because she had suited the requirement of the role but times have changed now and now he’s not directing films anymore!
He’s happy to see the way Alia’s career is shaping up and is proud to be introduced as Alia’s father! It seems that the Bhatt camp is Alia’s safety net to which she can always bank on during her desperate situations!
Alia says that she is not intimidated by her father but intimidated by his intelligence. He may be a lot older than her (Alia), but at heart he’s as young as she is! At home, he’s more energetic than all of them!

Apart from acting, Soni also directed TV serials like Humaarey Tumhaarey on Zee TV, a take-off on the Michelle Pfeiffer-George Clooney starrer, One Fine Day. She also directed the film Nazar in 2005.
Alia Bhatt’s mother, actress – turned – filmmaker Soni Razdan put her own directorial project on hold to devote herself to the process of making Alia’s debut in Student of the Year as comfortable as possible. Initially Alia needed her mother around but then she seemed to be fairly confident! She (Alia) could not have hoped for a better debut than under the biggest banner, a Karan Johar film, said her mother!
The doting mother was planning a film featuring Alia in the lead. But at the moment she is working on another project as she feels that Alia is quite independent now and can look after herself. Alia always wanted to be an actress, says her mother! At the age of 10, Alia had auditioned for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s proposed love story Hamari Jaan Ho Tum, a take on Balika Badhu. Alia had apparently behaved like a complete natural actress at the audition.Soniji fondly says, Sanjay LeelaBhansali predicted she (Alia) was a born actress! It took some years for her (Alia) to face the camera. But now Alia has the confidence.
Alia Bhatt, who was shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s film in Rajasthan, received a pleasant surprise! It was her birthday and mum SoniRazdan had flown all the way from Mumbai to Jaipur to spend the day with her. Mom Soni wentstraight away to the sets to surprise Alia. The young actress didn’t want to take a break on her special day. She was keen to complete the schedule on time. The unit had planned a small celebration for her on the sets. She wasn’t expecting her mother at all. The actress, who recently turned 20, was apparently very excited to see her mother. Though she was very tired from the shoot schedule, all her exhaustion vanished the moment she set eyes on her mom. It was followed by the cake cutting ceremony and a small celebration!
Shaheen Bhatt – Sister
Alia’s elder sister,Shaheen Bhatt has no inclination to face the camera. She reads a lot and loves to write. Looks like Shaheen is gearing up for a career in writing!
Amongthe siblings, it is Alia who has a natural flair for acting whereas elder sis Shaheen is usually behind the cameras, as a writer cum director.Shaheen, who is equally talented, aspires to be anassistant director and has assisted Vikram Bhatt in the film Raaz 3.
Student of the year girl Alia is close to her sis and they love spending time with each other!

Pooja is a protective sister says Alia. She (Pooja) was super excited to see her little sis Alia making her debut with KJo’s Student of the Year.
Although KJo had graciously decided to have a special screening of Student Of The Year (SOTY) on the previous day of its release for the families of debutantes Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, Alia’s elder half-sister Pooja Bhatt had decided to give it a miss!
Actress – turned – director Pooja Bhatt said that she would prefer to watch sis Alia with an unprejudiced audience at a public screening – first day first show.
She preferred watching it with the ticket-paying public as she used to watch most of her own films. Watching the flick at a multiplex with public helped her gauge their response!
After watching her sis’s debut movie, Pooja tweeted about how proud she is of her little sister Alia who made her debut with SOTY. Pooja even posted a picture of her along with Alia taken years ago!
Alia Bhatt finds her elder half-sister Pooja to be the most fashionable actress during the time she entered Bollywood and believes she had a really bold sartorial taste.
Alia went on that Pooja used to wear nice pants and tied her hair in a nice pony which added further to her style statement!
Alia says that elder sis Pooja once gave her a tip to walk pulling her shoulders back which makes one to feel six feet tall in spite of having an average height!
Alia, sister of Pooja Bhatt and cousin of actor Emraan Hashmi, says that she doesn’t take any acting tips from them but asks them about a film, what she should do to look better or how she should behave!
Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt are step sisters but look alike. They share a calm and sweet relationship.Pooja took one step forward to make their relation smoother casting Aliain the remake of Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin opposite chocolate boy Imran Khan, who has been approached for the character of Aamir Khan, instead of lady killerRanbir Kapoor. Pooja has decided to officially announce the project on her father Mahesh Bhatt’s 64th birthday!
Pooja Bhatt wished to cast Alia in her next film Mr. Love as well, which is based on the Nanavati murder case of 1959. However, she had to drop the plan to cast sis Alia as Pooja needed a woman with a British accent and also thought that Alia would be too young to be cast opposite actor Randeep Hooda, who is supposed to play the male lead!
Rahul Bhatt – Step brother
Alia’s step brother and son of Mahesh Bhatt, Rahul Bhatt is completely disconnected from Alia’s life and career. While Alia Bhatt made her Bollywood debut in a grand fashion with KJo’s Student of the Year, father Mahesh Bhatt has thought out something for his son Rahul too!
Writer Shagufta Rafique, who has been associated with Vishesh Films for quite a time, is set to launch Rahul Bhatt in her upcoming directorial debut. She and Mahesh Bhatt have in mind for the youngster a movie similar to Pooja Bhatt‘s Daddy, but with an entirely fresh approach. It is yet untitled and will go on floors by mid 2014. Keeping Bhatt ji‘s cinema in mind, the film will be written by Mahesh Bhatt, directed by her (Shagufta) and produced by Vikram Bhatt. “We don’t want to give him (Rahul) a regular launch, so we are working hard on the script. It’s a new beginning for Rahul and we are looking for a new girl. As far as Rahul is concerned he is ready to be molded,” added Shagufta.
Alia’s step bro Rahul has now and then been in the limelight. In 2008, his name had cropped up in connection with the Mumbai terror attacks when an accused named David Headley had revealed in police interrogation that he had befriended Rahul in a gymnasium!
Rahul was later roped in as a contestant in the fourth season of the biggest reality show Bigg Boss. For long Rahul was waiting to get a break in movies. And now he will be seen opposite a new girl in his daddy’s film!
