Bipasha Basu Biography : Early Life
Bipasha Basu is a Bollywood actress and a former model. Bipasha basu was born on 7th January, 1979 to a Bengali Hindu family. She is the second child and has two sisters namely Bidisha and Vijayeta. Bipasha Basu planned to study medicine and entered the modelling industry by accident. Bipasha Basu studied science till the 12th standard at Bhavan’s Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir and then studied commerce at Bhawanipur Education Society College.

Bipasha basu used to do ramp modelling in Kolkota. According to model Mehr Jessia’s advice, she took part in the Godrej Cinthol Supermodel contest at 17 years of age and eventually won the contest. After winning the Ford Godrej Cinthol contest, Basu was flown to New York by the Ford Company, where she had a successful modelling career at the age of 17.
Bipasha Basu Biography : Foray into Bollywood
As stated in her biography, Bipasha Basu entered Bollywood with her debut movie Ajnabee opposite Akshay Kumar. She won the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for her performance. In 2002, she starred in a Telugu film Takkari Donga and a Hindi film Raaz. Raaz gave her recognition and was a big commercial success. Bipasha Basu received her first Filmfare Best Actress nomination for the film Raaz. Later, she appeared in Jism in a negative role alongside actor John Abraham. The movie earned her a Filmfare Best Villain Award nomination.
In 2008, Bipasha Basu starred in Race which was a big hit and her performance was appreciated by critics. From thereon Bipasha has appeared in films like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Aakrosh, Lamhaa, All The Best : Fun Begins and Dum Maaro Dum. Her upcoming movies are Players, Singularity (A Hollywood Film), Raaz 3D and Race 2.
Bipasha Basu was in a relationship with actor John Abraham from 2002 to 2011. While together, the two were often referred to as a super couple in the Indian media. She previously dated Bollywood actor Dino Morea.
