Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak or QSQT is an Indian Bollywood film from the year 1988 starring Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla in the lead roles. The movie was written by Aamir’s uncle Nasir Hussain and directed by his son Mansoor Khan. This movie became a blockbuster soon after its release taking the stars to fame overnight. The film was also the first big hit for the duo of music and director of Anand-Milind and singers Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan.

A farmer from Dhanakpur village Thakur Jaswant Singh (Alok Nath) and Dhanraj Singh (Dalip Tahil) are brothers. They have a younger sister Madhumati, who was used, made pregnant and abandoned by Ratan Singh, son of Raghuveer Singh Thakur belonging from a family of rich Rajputs in the same village who is all set to wed another girl. The Thakur family rejects the request of Jaswant Singh to get his sister married to Ratan Singh. Ratan family refuses to accept that he is guilty, scared of the family reputation. Insulted Jaswant Singh, decides to abandon the village. Unable to tolerate the facts, Madhumati commits suicide. Enraged by this Dhanraj Singh kills Ratan Singh at his wedding and gets imprisoned. The two families become bitter enemies. Jaswant Singh moves to Delhi with his friend Bhagwan Das, develops his clothing business and achieves a good state, but also has the responsibility of raising the children of Dhanraj. After his release, Dhanraj receives a letter from his son, Raj (Aamir Khan), an ardent lover of music, completing his studies at the College of Rajput. An emotional Dhanraj goes to Raj’s college farewell party and was pleased to see his son fulfill his dreams.
In a twist of fate, Raj and his friend go to Dhanakpur to clear his family’s land deal. While returning home, Raj falls for the daughter of Randhir, Rashmi (Juhi Chawla) and goes to the residence of Randhir at Rashmi’s birthday party. After a while he manages to sneak out. Coincidentally, the two meet again at a resort whilst on a hunting expedition. They get lost in the woods, find an exit, and fall in love. Raj knowing about Rashmi’s family,is unable to tell the truth. Rashmi is told by Dhanraj about Raj’s family and that she should forget him. When Randhir Singh, a member of the family of Raghuveer Singh is aware of this issue, they immediately organize Rashmi’s wedding. The two lovers elope dreaming of an ideal life together.
Furious at the turn of events, Randhir Singh hires a murderer to track down and kill Raj. The lovers have a short period of happiness before tragedy strikes. When Randhir gets to know their whereabouts,he plans to get Raj killed and Rashmi taken home. Randhir’s mother does not want this to happen and hence tells Dhanraj to save them. While Raj is away, Randhir meets Rashmi says he is accepts the couple and has come to take them home. Rashmi, delighted with her dad follows his instructions. Meanwhile, in the forest, Raj is being chased by the henchmen. Dhanraj reaches the fort and asks for Raj. They get into a brawl and a shot is heard in the forest. Rashmi fearing Raj’s safety runs to him and is shot. After killing the henchman, Raj and Rashmi vow never to leave each other and Rashmi succumbs to her wounds. A disconsolate Raj is devastated by this incident and says nothing can separate them. He commits suicide with a dagger given by Rashmi.
