The movie has a lead star cast comprising of Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpai, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Katrina Kaif, Naseeruddin Shah and Nana Patekar. The film was originally produced by Prakash Jha Productions, and was distributed by UTV Motion Pictures and Walkwater Media. Rajneeti was mostly shot in Bhopal.
