Priyanka Chopra made her debut in the 2002 Tamil film Thamizhan. The following year, she made her Bollywood film debut with The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. She then acted in the hit movie Andaaz, for which she won a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. In 2004 she became the second woman to win the Filmfare Best Villain Award, for her critically acclaimed performance in Aitraaz. Priyanka Chopra later had commercial success with films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Krrish, Don:. The Chase Begins Again, Don 2 and Agneepath.
In 2008, Priyanka Chopra’s portrayal of a troubled model in the hit movie Fashion earned her a National Film Award for Best Actress and a Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She received further acclaim for her roles in films like Kaminey, What’s Your Raashee? and Saath Khoon Maaf for which she won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. Her recent performance of an autistic girl, Jhilmil in Anurag Basu’s film Barfi! is wowing critics as well as movie goers, all over and is India’s representation to the Academy Awards. Priyanka Chopra has established herself as one of the leading contemporary actresses in Bollywood.
